Al Pawloski just tweeted ...
Andrew Miller pitching to Jason Kipnis on field right now.

And from Jordan Bastian ...
Andrew Miller (knee) said he threw 40+ pitches between bullpen warmup and field mound session, and felt better than previous bullpens.

Just heard on MLB network an interesting tidbit.
The Indians usage % of fastballs is 29th in the big leagues out of 30. Breaking balls R us.
They even highlighted guys like Bauer and Clevinger using more breaking balls this season.

Andrew Miller said he'd like to throw two more bullpen sessions like he did today before coming back. Said he feels like he would need 4 or 5 game appearances to get back to 100% before playoffs started. Tito said the timetable he is on he is not for sure they can get him that many before seasons end.
Brantley still has no timetable for return. He still is not running on ground yet.
Kipnis took ground balls today, and actually faced Miller for batting practice during his bullpen session. He's getting closer.

From what I saw he just stood there.

But I went digging after your post and found this ...

Here's a photo of Andrew Miller throwing with Jason Kipnis in the box (not swinging). Evidence that both still very much exist.

I just hope they take it slow with all three of them and just have them ready for playoffs.

Clevinger has now pitched three straight games of 6 shutout innings.
I would have to say as of now he's our 4th starter in October, no?
BTW, last Indians pitcher to accomplish that feat, 3 straight starts of 6 shutout innings, was John Denny in 1981. His three straight starts was all complete game shutouts though. On my ass kicking scale that kicks 33% more ass.

Can't see any way Clevinger isn't No. 4 starter. He might even be No. 3 but Trevor has been sharp for a month, too.

There was a video of the Miller workout and Kip just stood there with a bat on his shoulder. I guess Brantley hasn't reached that stage yet. I have not read a word about Brantley's recovery that sounded positive, other than he has not needed some sort of surgery.

We have now tied the Astros for best record in A.L. 86-56. And we hold the tie breaker. Unbelievable. We were literally 14 games behind them like 6 weeks ago.
