I see that the other guy I tweeted a question to about Mejia's defense was online tweeting today and he didn't send me an answer so doubt I get one from him. (Guy from Indians PR dept. that tweets a lot about minor leaguers) so the short tweet I got from Todd is all I'll be getting.

Bobby Bradley has two homers today, and one a grand slam!

Clippers won 8-4. Merryweather was good enough to win. 7 IP, 11 H, 4 ER, 1 BB, 3 K. ... Yandy 1-2 with 3 walks again. 6 walks last two games.
Akron beats New Hampshire 7-5. ... Krieger 1-4. ... Mejia 2-4 with a double and a stolen base. ... Bradley 2-5 with 2 homers, one a grand slam, and 5 RBI.
Hillcats beat the Keys 5-4. ... Castro 1-3.
Lake County actually wins a game, beating Bowling Green 9-2. ... I wonder if the roaming pitching coach is spending some time there cause both Aiken and Hillman have suddenly turned things around at same time. There was people on social media tonight saying Ryan Merritt was with Lake County today in full uniform and might even start for them on Monday. He's been struggling too so makes me wonder. ... Anyway, Hillman pitched 5 innings, 3 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 6 K. ... Chu 2-4. ... Isaacs had himself another good game. He went 2-3 with a double, a stolen base, and an outfield assist.
Col - Clevinger
Akr - Pannone
Lyn - TBD
LC - Playing a double header tomorrow, finishing a game that was started but postponed. Tully is slated to start the other game.

Who is the roaming pitching coach these days. Is Dave Miller still with the organization?

#Indians LHP Ryan Merritt was at the #Captains game tonight in full uniform. Hearing Merritt is scheduled to start for Lake County on Monday
This start aligns him to be re-called & start for the #Indians in one of the game's in Saturday's DH vs the Minnesota Twins.
.
This makes more sense than my theory, cause both Columbus and Akron are off on Monday. ... As far as the roaming pitching coach, I was reading an article the other day that mentioned him but his name is escaping me now, Seagull.
.
DSL #Indians/Brewers 5 Rays 3
Cespedes 3-5 R 2B
Cabrera 1-4 SB
.
DSL Dodgers 12 #Indians 2
Marmol 3-4 R 2B
Contreras 1-4 2B RBI
Santiago 1-4 R 2B

Francisco Mejia is having yet another big day. 3-4 with double and homer currently.
He must need work calling pitches or blocking balls or something. I see no other reason not to move him up. There is not catcher prospect in Columbus to worry about. Kratz and Moore are both old (36 and 33) journeymen.

Mejia is hitting .514 vs. LHP's this season.

Mejia added another single; average is now a ridiculous 369; OPS an absurd 1.043, both of course lead the Eastern League. Now 16-31 in June with 4 homers and 3 doubles and 6 walks. That makes his line for June a ridiculous: 516/594/1000.

Mr. Pannone with his second worst start since August: meaning he allowed a run. on two hits and two walks, fanned 7 in 6 innings. AA ERA 1.75

interested to see Matt Whitehouse is now a starter for Akron. His 6 innings yesterday was the longest outing either since 2012 at Mahoning Valley or the longest ever as a pro.

Columbus lost to Indy 9-3 today. ... Clevinger was not good. 4 IP, 5 H, 5 ER, 4 BB, 6 K. ... Almonte was 2-3 with a homer and a walk in his rehab game. ... Yandy 1-3 with a walk.
Akron beats the Fisher Cats 7-3. With yet another stellar performance by Thomas Pannone. 6 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 7 K. ... F.Mejia ended up a triple shy of the cycle. He was 4-5 with 2 singles, a double, and a homer. ... Bradley was 1-5.
Lynchburg beats the Keys 5-2. Bieber gets back on track. 5.2 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 6 K. ... Loopstok 2-4 with a double and a homer.
Lake County loses to the Hot Rods 8-4 in the first game that was finishing up the suspended rain game. ... Aiken had started the game and went 4.2 innings before the suspension. 3 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 6 K. ... Krauth started today from where they left off and got smacked around. 3.1 IP, 5 H, 3 ER, 0 BB, 5 K. ... Chu went 2-4 with a double. He's hitting .357 now.
The regularly scheduled Lake County game for today is going on now. I'm sad to report that Tully the Buckeye got absolutely slaughtered, skinned, cut up, and grilled for dinner. He pitched 2.2 innings, allowed 10 hits and 7 earned runs. No walks 4 strikeouts. sniff

There is currently 6 open spots on this roster for draftees. But they could always dump one of these guys if a drafted player makes it necessary.

Captains lost the 2nd game today 17-6. Other than Tully getting killed not much else happening. Isaacs went 1-3 with a double.

This would be Sayles' 5th season in short season ball, that's getting near a record.
Bunch of the other guys listed will be in their 4th summers.
The big names there are Benson and Jones and Gonzalez who've learned a lot in extended ST I hope. Would have liked to have seen the first two at least at Lake County.
