I dunno who wrote that scouting report on Pannone but it must have been last year and whatever change he made in delivery has helped. You don't have a WHIP and K to IP ratio like he's had without some pitch that is fooling everyone.

of course the most 'projectible' pitch is a good fastball; quality breaking pitches can paralyze Class A hitters but not necessarily work without a fastball to offset it. But he is certainly doing a great job with whatever he throws.

McKenzie is doing just fine for one of the youngest pitchers in his league. Stay healthy and he'll be a big deal in the majors perhaps as soon as later 2019

Civ, the way I took that comment was that something about Pannone's delivery fools hitters and his fastball is getting in on them quicker than a normal fastball that speed does. So while his velocity may just be 88 or whatever, it is playing faster to hitters.

I've heard that said about good major leaguers before so here's hoping for the best.
