Well, Carrasco showed some rust but at least he's back into the mix and we pulled it out. Go Team Lindor!

Chamberlain to come off DL in Seattle. Who gets sent down? Armstrong?

Indians left fielder Michael Brantley has been sidelined since May 10 due to inflammation in his surgically repaired shoulder, and Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports reports that there is now serious concern within the organization that Brantley will miss “a significant amount of time” due to the injury

Indians president Chris Antonetti said Monday that there is "nothing really new" to report on the status of Michael Brantley's injured right shoulder.

Like HB said in the Gametime folder, I also do not want Brantley even near the field until this issue is as close to 100% as possible.

For example, if the team goes into a slump and he wants to come back to help, no way until truly medically ready.

I had arthroscopic surgery on my shoulder last June. I had to rehab for 6 months, only allowed to lift very light weights. And was not permitted by doctor to work at all for 6 months.

After 6 months I was let go from rehab and told to continue lifting, and gradually go to heavier weights. But that it would be 1 full year before I was back to 100%.

So for the Indians to tell the media that they hoped he would be ready to play in 5 to 6 months was ridiculous. I know Brantley was pushing hard and dying to get out there but sometimes you have to save a guy from himself.

There were times after months I was feeling good and pushed it and then my shoulder killed me for a week. My rehab guy read me the riot act. Told me I would be shocked how many guys end up re-tearing their labrum or whatever was corrected by doing too much too soon.

Brantley shouldn't have been allowed to push it too soon. Just damn lucky he didn't reinjure himself ... if he didn't.

Armstong's already in Columbus. Adams has options available so probably will go, although he's been pitching well.
But they're adding Anderson to start tonight and that will be the time to make the roster move. Anderson will then be demoted for Chamberlin.

It's back on the Tribe to end the Cleveland championship drought. This time could do it, although if they make through the AL which is seriously possible, they'll run across the Cubs in a battle of the desperate franchises and again will be the underdog both in terms of talent and love of the American fans.

The Cavs aren't dead yet, but it won't be easy.

8 games over, pretty heady stuff for June 12.

And, for the first time in recent memory, I looked at the matchups for the upcoming 3 game set with the Royals and liked it.

2 of 3 would be great way to end a promising road trip.

8 games over with almost no Brantley and Carrasco out a significant amount of time.

and with the back of the bullpen not as reliable as they've been in recent seasons.

All in all this is just a good team, with no single area of particular weakness.

Pitching, pitching, pitching.

Isn't it nice, for a change, that OTHER teams are running out stiffs like Ubaldo and Huff.

O's are totally at fault for sticking themselves with Ubaldo. We have been wisely avoiding long-term deals with pitchers.
Angels must have some injuries or they wouldn't be turning to Huff, but we have AAA pitching depth and have already lived 6 weeks without Carrasco.
