Hoping we win this one.

I'm heading to a vendor sponsored golf outing tomorrow on the south side of Chicago (Cog Hill #3) followed by dinner and then prizes. After the outing I'm on vacation for a week. I have another kayaking and fishing trip planned. I wanted these guys to give me a great send off. Looks rather ominous right now. Gonzalez is picking our hitters apart.

It would be nice to end this homestand with a sweep heading into KC.

Detroit just hit KC with a 3 spot to take a 3-2 advantage still hitting in the third.

When you look at the two lineups and then the two pitching staffs, you have to wonder how in the world we've been hanging in this closely.

Jared Head is quickly proving why he is a career minor league at age 28. Too bad a team in the pennnant race is forced to use him but the size of our DL leaves us no choice. Or the choice of bringing back Travis Buck, which probably will be reality very soon, unless they think Trevor Crowe's brief rehab in Arizona and a few games with the Clippers has readied him for the majors.

if we were in a battle for 4th with the Royals I'd be happy to let Jared get some big league time to reward his long career with our organization. In the present situation I'd rather not have to.

Oakland threatening to break this game wide open already leading by three with a bags packed and Fausto still to retire one batter.

I have to agree Civ. I thought the move to promote Head at the time was a good one. Guess not.

Terrific job by that Hagadone fella. He cleaned up the poop! A's only score twice to double up on the lead.
