BA highlights from Wednesday:
Newsmakers from Wednesday's action:
Mike Clevinger, rhp, Indians. The last thing the Indians need is another starting pitcher, but Clevinger is certainly giving them food for thought. The righthander, acquired from the Angels for reliever Vinnie Pestano in August 2014, improved to 8-0, 2.70 with six sterling innings Wednesday for Triple-A Columbus at Lehigh Valley (Phillies). After he joined the Cleveland organization, the Indians got Clevinger back to throwing the way he did as an amateur—to great success. Clevinger's fastball sits in the low to mid-90s and his hard slider is his best secondary offering.

BA weekly Q&A:
Elliot (Youngstown OH): Welcome Kyle! Francisco Mejia gets a week off from the Hot Prospect list but being selected to the Futures Game and earning a promotion to the Carolina League nearly compensates. How high does he rate among catching prospects now?
Kyle Glaser: Thanks Elliot. You'll get the exact spot we have Mejia ranked among catching prospects when our midseason top prospect list comes out (spoiler: He's one of our top 5)

Done? That's a little harsh. Is 7 walks in 4 innings bad?

Ok, not all bad report on Brown: in his second season at Lynchburg he's cut way back on the home runs, hits allowed and is striking out 10/9 IP. Still only 22. He's got time but has a long way to go.

Looks like my man Todd got kicked off Twitter again. This is crazy. He only tweets about the Indians, and nothing inflammatory at all. I don't get it.
Before he was kicked off last time he told me the Indians brass were complaining about him. I don't know if Twitter is giving him the boot because of the teams complaints or what. But I can't see any other reason why they continue to delete his account.

What's there to complain about?

He announces signings and roster moves before the team does, and they sent him a Direct Message on Twitter asking him to stop. He didn't. Every since then he's had his Twitter deleted twice.
One thing might not have to do with the other, I dunno. But I know for a fact he never tweets anything that would get him in trouble with Twitter. No bad language, no racial stuff, no raunchy stuff. Just baseball. So I don't get it.

Last night was a great night for our minor league guys. Sheffield probably had his best pro start. Allen and Mejia extended hitting streaks. Zimmer, Frazier, and Papi all had good days at the plate. Was great.
Haven't looked at today's boxes yet.

By the way, in previous post when I said "they" asked him to stop I was referring to Indians. A guy from front office sent him a message. He showed it to me.
Just makes me wonder if Indians complained to Twitter and got him booted, but I dunno.
