Don't think the other really meant "notoriety" to describe Allen
noun: notoriety
the state of being famous or well known for some bad quality or deed

Akron played two games; in the other one Zimmer singled and doubled; NRod singled twice and walked.
Strange comparison: Frazier's hitting 396, OPS 865, very little difference vs RH and LH.
Zimmer's hitting 243. OPS nearly the same 857. vs LH: it's 541; vs RH: 958

Other notable lines:
Nathan Lukes 3 singles for Lake County.
Line of the day: Matt Esparza 7 4 0 0 0 12 21-year-old RH. 54 K in 43 IP; 86 K in 75 IP in 2015.
G Mejia singled, walked, and stole his second [in 8 games]
Wakamatsu's 2 errors total 5 [in 8 games]
Class of 2016:
Ice at MHV first homer and walk
Conner Capel CF debuts in Arizona; 0-4
Ulysses Cantu 3B does too: 2 singles and a walk.
Benson the day off.

Bring up Yandy, and dump Uribe's ass!
Uribe just had the hottest streak of his life, and he's still hitting .227
I don't care what they do with Almonte, as long as he doesn't take AB's away from Naquin.

Uribe is the 2016 Jason Giambi. Let Almonte replace Martinez.

Martinez is the obvious odd man out. Uribe's OK, just hit another homer today. Yandy is now mostly playing OF with Urshela getting 80% of the starts at 3rd.

This thing with Uribe is getting uncanny. Every day I've said something bad about him he has homered. At this point his agent should pay me to post.
Civ, I'm very familiar with where Yandy has been playing. I posted about it before you noted it. But from what I understand they have not been playing him in OF because they were unhappy with his play at 3B. They just wanted to keep him up after Urshela returned from DL and thought getting experience at other positions would only help him.
Two more hits and runs from Yandy again today.
And speaking of .... two more hits and a homer from F.Mejia today too. 24 game hit streak. 6 homers and 6 doubles during the streak. Francisco was just promoted to High-A Lynchburg.
Greg Allen extended his streak to 15 games today.
Bradley with a double and Frazier with a homer today.
Aaron Civale, our 3rd round pick, made a very successful debute today. 2 innings, no hits or runs, 3 K.
It's been a good day!

This is what I thought but I just asked Todd to make sure.
Brian Montgomery @Montana_Monty
@indiansPro Todd, you know why Yandy has been mostly playing OF lately? Were team not happy with his play at 3B?
Indians Prospective @indiansPro
@Montana_Monty no they actually are very happy with him. Quicker way to get him to the MLB adds versatility. Urshela better defense at 3rd.

That's what I assumed about Yandy: second base, LF, RF, as well as 3rd. He offers more versatility than Almonte, and AA isn't so necessary in CF now that Naquin has proven himself.
Glad to see promotions for Mejia and Krieger. They sure deserve it. Now the Hillcats have two everyday 2nd basemen. I wonder how Mathias and Krieger both keep busy.
Sorry to see no promotion for Allen.

Some really bad starting pitching today:
Ryan Merritt AAA 3 1/3 6 4 3 1 1 Last 4 starts: 18 2/3 IP 34 H 20 ER 4 BB 9 K 9.65 ERA WHIP 2.03
Julian Merryweather AA debut 4 10 9 9 0 3 [that's two more runs than he allowed in 61 IP for Lynchburg]
Mitch Brown at Lynchburg: 4 8 7 7 4 3 ERA 5.37 44 walks in 67 innings
Here's some good work lower down:
Brock Hartson Lake County 5 5 1 1 1 4 2.97
Aaron Civale 3rd round pick debuted in Mah Valley 2 0 0 0 1 3 6-2 RH from Northeastern
I'm sure I posted this scouting report before but I don't remember what it said, so here it is again:
Civale put himself on the radar with a strong showing in an exhibition game against the Red Sox during a spring training trip in his sophomore year. Civale followed up a strong sophomore spring with an otherwordly season out of the bullpen for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks in the Cape Cod League last summer. Civale transitioned to the rotation as a junior, and the results have been exceptional. Through 114.1 innings, he had struck out 121 and walked just 15, pitching to a 1.73 ERA. He's a well-built starting pitching prospect at 6-foot-2 and 215 pounds. Civale has a clean, compact delivery that he repeats well. Civale pitches with control of an average fastball, and his hard, tight breaking ball enables him to get swings and misses.

And the two who debuted in Arizona last night:
Connor Capel has drawn mixed reviews both on the showcase circuit and this spring. Evaluators who like him are impressed by his athleticism, bat control, his ability to use the whole field and his potentially above-average hit tool from the left side. Capel puts together competitive at-bats with a solid approach, but his swing has little loft. He hits more ground balls than line drives, significantly limiting his power potential, and he doesn't have exceptional bat speed. Capel is a 60 runner who has a shot to stick in center field and he has an above-average arm. His best role is as a table-setting leadoff hitter. Capel is old for the class--he turns 19 before the draft. He's a Texas signee, but his game draws comparisons to former Texas A&M and current Indians center fielder Tyler Naquin. [sounds a little more like Tyler Holt]
Ulysses Cantu is one of the better high school hitters in this year's draft class. At the plate, there's little not to like. He understands the strike zone and he has a short, simple swing that allows him to hit line drives but also gives him the potential to hit for at least average power. Scouts are impressed with his drive and his work ethic. But where Cantu is going to play defensively is a much bigger question. Cantu has toyed with catching, but it's never really stuck and he's been forced to stick to hitting much of this spring because of a sore shoulder that is not thought to be a long-term issue. Cantu looks more comfortable at third base but his already-stout body and some stiffness to his actions lead most scouts to believe he'll eventually end up at first base. Cantu has a strong enough arm to potentially pitch (he'll sit in the high 80s off the mound) as well as hit at Texas Tech if he doesn't sign professionally out of high school.
[He's 5-11 220. That's a big body for an 18-year-old]
