Re: General Discussion
4996Figured that the Indians were in on Donaldson and got out bid by Toronto. Oakland is looking for middle infielders and I am sure that they like Ramirez a lot. Makes sense.
His line has gotten progressively worse over those three years. It appears that the more he plays the worse he does; perhaps Francona can restrict his playing time to situations when he's likely to be most productive, as the additional at bats from year to year since 2012 have resulted in negligible additional production. His three-year slash line stands at .254/.340/.504, good for a 135 OPS+, with Moss contributing 76 home runs over 1,381 plate appearances.
That could be true. At the same time Oakland had to at least approach Cleveland when they were offering a RH power hitting strong defensive 3rd baseman with a reasonable contract. Oakland had to see if it could get Lindor, Ramirez, or maybe even Kipnis.Hillbilly wrote:I might be wrong but my initial thought was they may have been touching base on Moss as a replacement in case they traded Swisher for a pitcher with a bad contract.
Aren't there Winter Meetings next week? We may know something soon.
