I've spent the last 3 hours looking through the winter ball/mexican league/japan league/carribean league folders for posts about hookers.

Tigers with the best players in baseball exit quietly: 3 Cy Young winners started their three losses; best hitter in the game along with two Martinezes in the middle of the lineup. But without a bullpen and more depth they cannot win games that count.

Major league baseball, their playoffs, and the many different TV channels are the most ridiculous thing I can remember in professional sports. One word = boring !

I bet a lot of serious sports fans do not actually watch one minute of the playoffs unless their team is in the playoffs or they casually see a moment of a game in a bar.

No wonder kids do not like baseball !

That defines me. But I'm not really a "serious sports fan". I am a serious Indians fan and a semi-attentive Cavs fan. That's about it.

I can't tell you the last time I watched baseball on TV other than the Indians or Little League Baseball.

Didn't watch one pitch of the playoffs. Don't care.

Probably will watch some of the WS but will channel hop.

Why is it that the Indians can put together a pretty decent bull pen on the cheap and the Tigers with all their money at their disposal can't?

I am betting that a few fans in Michigan are asking that question, too!

I am not a baseball fan. I do not know any players on any of the teams still in the playoffs. Until this morning I didnt know which teams in the NL were still in the playoffs. The sport has been ruined. If sports leagues were publicly traded I would purchase puts on MLB and the NFL and calls on the NBA;. You can look at my posts in various forums. They have goen down like a rock here-they have remained steady at Realcavsfans before and after both decisions and I dont post in any NFL forum. I listen to NBA radio fanatically I dont even know what channel MLB network in on XM.

I'm ready to believe that. I'm sorry baseball has been ruined for you. For my part, though, I can still enjoy watching a minor league game, a high school game, or even tee-ball. I regret much of what has gone on in MLB recently, but .. really, the NBA? Go for it man, you can have my share. Bores me to tears. I'm glad you enjoy it. Listen, though, you ever decide you want to try to see past the crap and re-discover the great game on the diamond, you know where to find us.

The NBA was fun when Joe Tait called the games on the radio. I dislike it on TV: it's a lot of really big guys crowded into a very small space playing a game I never played. But I have to keep with it a little to talk with my son, who is in the NBA generation, unfortunately.

OK, for all of us bemoaning the Nick Swisher signing. The other side of the coin:

Matusz replaces Jimenez on Orioles' roster

Brian Matusz has been added to the Orioles' ALCS roster.

Matusz was left off the ALDS roster due to the Tigers' heavy right-handedness, but the Royals have many more left-handed hitters. He replaces Ubaldo Jimenez on the roster.

So the 4 year - $50 million man can't even make the roster.

Maybe I should change my byline to "In Callaway I Trust"

How about that stiff Cain being ALCS MVP. He was an Indians stiff for a while. Think we just cut him....
