Civ- Tribe seems more likely to repeat the losing record the rest of the way.
We all know the reasons.
I expect nothing significant on the trade market coming our way before the deadline.
The rise and fall of the Tribe season proves once again that gravity always brings us back to Earth.

Kipnis getting a start today. Chisenahll with his OPS of 743 is hitting 6th for this "contending" team. Remember when Manny the rookie batted 8th to keep off the pressure.
Carrera's in center again with Buck in RF.
Not that I'm missing him, but just curious, is Kearns still on this team? If so, why?

I wish Carlos would keep his front foot in the box a little closer to the ground.

civ ollilavad wrote:So if we're 51-48 now, and our record after a win on May 23 was 30-15, that means 21-33 since. That's a pretty long stretch (1/3 of the season) with a last place record. Is there some reason to think we'll ready to turn that record around the rest of the way? Another 21-33 will put as at 72-81 with a final week to play spoiler against the White Sox, Twins and Tigers. Should be exciting.
Tigers just starting an 11 game stretch against the White Sox, Texas and Los Angeles.
If we can hang, we've got what looks like a soft spot from August 22 through Labor Day hosting Seattle, Kansas City and Oakland for 11 games, followed by a three game trip to Kansas Cityl

Tigers are back out here in Oakland for four games in September starting Thursday, September 15 through Sunday the 18th.
They'll be playing on a chewed up football field The Raiders will have had games on in the same stadium.
If those games are meaningful for the Indians, and I expect they will be, I may position myself close to the Tiger pen and get a little vocal.

We had two hits in the first.
Since then it's just been Santana's bunt single in the 4th.
We lead 1-0 as we go to the 8th.
