Sad game to watch, injuries have decimated a team that has played well most of the time.

Not an excuse but reality.

All 3 starting outfielders out.

After being caught stealing today, Carrera is now 2 for 4. Kearns is 0 for 4.

Tribe will slowly fade toward the Royals.

The manager can only field the players he is dealt, but boy does Manny have a bad hand.

At some point you had to figure the pitching coming back. The hope was the offense could make up the difference but now it's disaster.

Who in their right minds would pay $20+ to watch this group in person?

Santana takes too many pitches right down the middle.

If Brantley played the last two games, Indians would have won at least one but probably both! Louis V cannot play outfield at all. First two guys in eighth should have been out with an average leftfielder.

No doubt the Indians knew that and should have prepared at least for today's game (Brantley got sick soon before gametime yesterday) and brought up an outfielder from Columbus, even Duncan who's not too skilled with glove has experience out there, and is on the 40-man roster so it would've easy to sway Valbeuna for him. The other OFs in Columbus are not on the roster so someone would have to be released to make room.

Could have put Laporta in left field. Starting to think that Acta can not think on the fly.

Running guys into outs is unacceptable with that lineup. Blackburn walks the leadoff guy after getting the lead and Acta runs Kearns on the first pitch as Valbuena swings through the ball. That may be Acta ball but where I come from that is stupid ball.

The outstanding pitching is making up for Acta being really weak on the strategic end of the game.

Rusty2- Agree 100% on Acta.

Also would have liked to see OC put down a safety squeeze the other night . Look what that Cards catcher did tonight.

No excuse whatsoever so having Valbuena in the outfield today. LaPorta has played there and it really isn't that far to get someone to the Twin cities from Columbus.

Kearns should run when the ball is hit, never beyond that . Of course, that assumes he gets on base in the first place.

I caught bits and pieces of today's game online.

I just checked. It's July 21st, and we'll still in 1st Place.

1997 was not a pretty season. But, we made it to the 7th game of The World Series with 86 regular season wins.

Pretty disappointing to leave Minnesota with a split after winning a double header with Huff and Carmona pitching.

Then tweak the offense. It's not that far off from winning This Division.

I believe in the school of John Hart.....just get to the playoffs.

I was here and up close and personal last October as The Giants had not much of a different offense from us and won the whole thing.

I believe.

I don't see any sure thing steam rollers in the AL at this time.

It'd be fun to face Charlie Manuel in late October.

Let's hope Fausto doesn't flounder tonight.
