Time for Santana to spend a couple weeks in Columbus remembering not to swing for the fences.

I suppose that could work if we had the luxury of having bats to replace him. Marson would catch everyday with Paul Phillips behind him? LaPorta at first every day with Duncan behind him

Apparently an afternoon game today. We're down 4-3 in the 4th as Tomlin has been racked for 8 hits in 3 1/3. Our big hit was a 2-run Sac Fly by Matt LaPorta (with an error on the throw bringing in Asdrubal on the play). Orlando C with a ground out for the 3rd score.

Valbuena-Carrera-Kearns in the Outfield today. That would make a pretty weak AAA trio.

Still 4-3 after 5. In the 5th Kearns thrown out trying to steal, second time this week. Who exactly does he think he is?

We tie the score 4-4 in the 6th, still none of the runs have scored on a hit, this time a passed ball brings a run in.

Tomlin makes it through the 6th, setting another record for most whatevers to start a career.

Top of the seventh, two singles get our rally started. Now come our 3 and only outfielders. Kearns bunts them to 2nd and 3rd. Valbuena pops up foul. It's up to Carrera. Time for another squeeze?

Ground out. Score stays tied. Looks like our big hope in this one will be a game-winning balk.

Joe Smith in to pitch the 7th.

Tribe lineup looks like the new Millennium expansion NY Mets.

Single but no trouble for Smith. We go to the 8th with Heart of the Order coming: Asdrubal, Travis and Carlos.

I don't want a third straight series to end with 2 losses, after starting with 2 wins. Go guys, score runs!

Cabrera opens with a double.

And Hafner weak shallow fly, AC stays put.

Right hander in to make Carlos hit left. Gets behind 1-2. Hamilton says he has a recent tendency to take strikes on the inside corner. As earlier today with 3 on, and none out. Now Santana fouls off a pitch thrown by mistake right down the middle. Easy grounder to first, Cabrera now goes to 3rd, that's what it would have been OK for Hafner to do. 2-17 for Santana in Minneapolis. Up to big Matt LaPorta.

Nearly a wild pitch, which could have made 5 runs with no hits bringing them in. But it's not. 3-1 on Matt. Can he do something now? Not on the next pitch: swing and miss. 3-2. One of baseball's top power prospects only needs a single here. Revere leaping catch by the fence.

Sipp loads them up in the 8th, Pestano yields a 1-run single to this Valencia kid, as did Perez yesterday.

And then a 2-run single by Nishioka. Twins didn't need all those injured players.

And if our bullpen is going to revert to being human, we don't have a big chance in the long run.
