I've been out in the main living room enjoying an appropriate bottle of a crisp white wine with a salad on a rare warm evening.
Looks like this game is a nail biting pitcher's duel.
Let's go, Perez.
Bottom of the 9th, and 1-0 us.

Story developing here is that Chris Perez is about to face Valencia, his room mate at the University of Miami.
Bases loaded and one out after an IBB.....

Ball game.
Valencia hits it to Valbuena in left, who did a good job but not good enough to get the 2nd runner.
I should have stayed in the living room.

Valbuena played that ball as well as he could have.
The runner at 2nd was going hard the whole way.

Wonder where everyone is questioning why Acta manages by the book ?
C Perez has looked like garbage recently. He should be pulled out of every game he walks a batter.
Great outfielder positioning.

Is that his 2nd Blown save of the season?

What I dont understand is if you start throwing a bunch of balls and blow the game why do you have any right to go nuts in the dugout You just played like crap and wasted your starters exellent effort. Not a time to throw stuff in the dugout. What a crappy line up acta was running out there tonight. We blew this game in the 5th. Does santana ever get a hit?

Acta had a horrid game.
Why was Valbuena so deep in left on the ninth inning double?
And why , though it worked out, did he pull Masterson in the 8th?
And with the leadoff guy on in the eighth, you've got to try to bunt him over. Trouble there was no one on the bench and Santana up.
Acta must have found a left behind copy of Wedges' 'book'.

CP seems to have a bit of Shuey in him.
If you pull him after a walk, who backs him up? Are you willing to ruffle the bullpen mojo so quickly?
I don't throw CP under the bus for blowing his second save opportunity of the season, lowering his save % to 92.

Snatching defeat from the Jaws of victory.

I didn't like Perez pitching around Mauer in the ninth.
CP has allowed runs in 3 of his last 4 games.

Crime that Masterson gets the short end of the stick yet again.
Clear ace of the staff, maybe even on the verge of being a real one.
Too bad Manny doesn't treat him like one.

Chris Perez is looking more and more like Jose Mesa everyday.
