What a scrappy team we have. Pitchingwas excellent today. Never has a team been more of an example of the value of starting pitching that keeps you in the game. Twins are done. They'll never catch all three of the teams in front of them.....

I do not understand why we are in the market for another starter. The kids are doing OK and all of this experience will pay off over the next couple of years.
An OF is a different story.
Why cant Kipnis go back to the OF? Did he have only college experience in the OF?

Kipnis last played the outfield in 2009, all of 25 games.

Kipnis was a CF his entire college career and first year with the Indians. There is simply no question he could play a very solid LF but if he is an elite offensive 2B keep him there until after the trade deadline and let's see what happens.
I told you guys Sizemore was done as an Indian. He was over the course of his career a good player for us though. That saves Dolan what $9M, no way do we pick up his option. Kearns, Cabrera, Durbin there's another $4M. Choo isn't going to get the big payday he was playing for and is now in the most likely place to sign a long term deal than he ever will be. Carmona???? We'll see but I still have him on my dump him list. Maybe pick up his option and hope for a fast 2012 start before you bring up Pomeranz and then trade Carmona for good value....
Tribe in very good shape for a nice multiyear run in the Central...

Twins are done
I'd be careful on that one. They've the gap a lot already and still have guys on the DL who could come back. They and their manager know how to hang tough and sneak by the field

Tribe lineup tonight is the most pathetic of the season.

I was just going to post the same thing, Rocky. Very, very unimpressive. I sure am glad we keep the veteran leaders Orlando Cabrera and Austin Kearns around.
For anyone who hasn't checked it out, here's the miserable lineup:
Ezequiel Carrera in the major leagues!
Orlando Cabrera veteran leadership!
Asdrubal Cabrera AN ACTUAL MAJOR LEAGUE HITTER!!!!!
Carlos Santana THIS GUY IS NOT TOO BAD EITHER
Matt LaPorta hitting 5th!
Austin Kearns hitting 6th! in the majors!
Jack Hanrahan hitting 7th!
Lou Marson hitting 8th!
Travis Buck starting against a lefty!

1 guy in the Tribe lineup with a BA of .250+.
4 guys at .230-.

Brantley was a late scratch with an upset stomach.
I guess this was a scheduled off day for Hafner.

Which means the solid talent on the bench consists of:
Travis Hafner, a major league baseball player!
Luis Valbuena, not " " " " "
Lonnie Chisenhall, he will be good as he matures
Michael Brantely, where the hell is he?
