Thanks, I didn't realize Huff pitched that recently.

Twins hitters made Sipp toss 21 pitches, but none reached base in the 8th.

To the bottom of the 9th.

A granny proof 5-0, thanks to Austin Kearns.

Or Austin Kearnes, according to Twins telecast graphics.

Durbin in for the 9th, and Mauer leads with a single.

And Cuddyer follows with a 2 run homer.

Acta to the mound and hooks Durbin with Thome at the plate.

Acta seemed to motion for a left hander the Twins announcers note, but it is Vinny Pestano sprinting from the pen to the mound.

Two down as Santana was set up way outside for Delman Young's at bat.

Valencia batting as the announcers note he was the roommate of Chris Perez at the University of Miami.

Pestano gets his guys 1-2-3 and we win, and take over First Place.

The teams have four hours to kill at the ballpark before the next game.

Good win, and thanks for the pbp. Maybe Jenmar goes back and Huff sticks around to see if he can stick, or if someone might want him, he is obviosly at the end of his prospect life.

I thought it was a nice idea for Manny to try to let Durbin finish up with a 5-run lead. But Chad had other ideas. I'll be interested in seeing who they choose to move into the 5th rotation spot. Are the three starts by ZachMac, Huff and Gomez auditions, or was their mind made up for Gomez?

And it's time to do some bullpen juggling too with Herrmann and Judy changing places. And some day Putnam or Lee taking over for Durbin.

And something else in the OF. Boy are they sorry they converted Kipnis to an infielder.

Lots to do in downtown Minneapolis: bars and restaurants on Nicollet Mall or in the warehouse district. Try Mill Ruins Park. Join all the joggers along the Mississippi. Saunter across the old stone railroad bridge. Catch a play at the new Guthrie. Check out modern art at the Walker. Stroll around Lake of the Isles. I love downtown Minneapolis; I thought we should look for a condo there, but my wife said I was nuts.
