Too bad that to ignore a members post you have to declare him a foe.
Not a nice control panel feature.

I know Loufla personally these days, and in addition to being a great and gracious host, he is DEFINITELY not boring, definitely not arrogant...
Copy that!

Ironically, we top 25,000 posts as we are in the "post season."

If someone had told me in March that Derek Lowe would be pitching in the ALCS, I would have been pretty excited.

Gee...was that the Skanks that just got swept by a team the Indians won a season series against?

Yep, and to borrow a Red Barber line, Detroit is sitting in the catbird seat while waiting for the probable Red Birds for the World Series.
Detroit will have their rotation rested and set, though the Red Birds do have home field advantage.

And Yankee fans would have said "fogetaboutit" if told that Alex Rodriguez, Derek Jeter and Mariano Rivera would play minimally or not at all in the ALCS.

I kinda would like to see the Giants pull it off

A little off topic but do you guys that play golf know that at PGA Tour Super Store (if you have one in the area) you can get double the trade in value on your old clubs if you buy new ones (not Titleist or Ping) that same day? Just traded in my Ping G15s and a bunch of old stuff for new Mizuno's!!!

That's it Frank. All the Indians have to do is trade in their powder-puff bats for new wood.

OK lets go with the new manager. I cut them slack everytime until they screw up. As a fan I always want them to do well. We shall C.
One thing that is a minor irritant is the lack of transparency by the front office about the salary. This is all I have found on the Internet so far:
As of 10/23/2012 Terry Francona's salary has not been released by the Cleveland Indians. Several baseball experts say that since his last salery from Boston Red Sox was $4M a year that the Indians must be paying him at least $3M to $4M a year.
If only he could play left field and had power it would be a good buy.
