Anyone that says they are concerned with what Francona is being paid is a hypocrite.
Probably plays with nerf balls too.

I loved nerf basketball. I could hang that basket on the top of the door in my office and work out my frustrations, or make interesting competitive wagers with girls in the same office venue.
"Who is buying the first round at Happy Hour?" was of course the predominant wager of the day....

In the minors now a lot of difference:
vs L 277/346/457/814
vs R 260/321/494/816
he must have used different approaches to reach those figures since vs LHP K/bb was 27/15; vs RHP 101/31. 18 HR vs RHP, 4 vs LHP; more of a doubles hitter vs Lefties.
In his much smaller sample size in the majors a huge difference:
vs L 393/414/679/1093
vs R 215/250/271/521

Rusty2- you must be a fisherman.
Always trying to bait people.
But your bait is pretty old.
It is beginning to stink.
Hard to get a bite on that stuff.

Dollars to doughnuts Francona was offered and accepted the job before Acta was fired.
Love to have been a fly on the wall during the negotiations. Wonder if the drug problem came up. Maybe he has to pee in a bottle like the rest of the players.
Manager problem solved for a while.
Now what's the front office going to do about the horrible drafting and development?

Meh, whatever, Francona, Alomar, Lou Brown, draw a name out of a hat, I got too much work to do to be able to watch the playoffs. I'll be able to come up for air ... well who knows when.
("Playoffs!? Don't talk to me about ... PLAYOFFS??!")

But as usual you had to comment so it must not be that old.
You are a hypocrite though.

Rusty2 (the sequel)-
Rusty I think I have as much right to comment on the direction of this team as you do.
As we all do.
Mostly I state my opinion which I have a right to, as do you.
Maybe you should look up the meaning of opinion. Let me help you its on page 798 in Webster's New Collegiate Dictionary. My favorite is: a view, a belief stronger than impression and less strong than positive knowledge.
That is what I find so ridiculous about your opinions, they sound very much like positive knowledge and anyone who dares to disagree with it is put down or ridiculed in a negative way.
That is not helpful nor is it respectful, it is also not what a Forum should be about.
I had you on ignore for awhile because of it but now see your posts for other people were repeating them.
I have now pretty much come to the conclusion that if I ever agreed with your tactics we would both be wrong.
Pax Bro.

As usual you have nothing to add. Just long winded attempts to bore people. Keep acting like I am on ignore but you know and I know that you are reading. You just can't help yourself.

No one has stopped you from expressing your opinion on this forum.
If anyone disagrees with you, you tend to squeal like a stuck pig. Not my fault that you get your panties in a wad.
Post what you want. I will do the same. Just don't kid yourself that I give a damn about your opinion of me.
Thanks for the Webster dictionary thing though. Just another show of your arrogance.

I know
Loufla personally these days, and in addition to being a great and gracious host, he is DEFINITELY not boring, definitely not arrogant... and is way more cerebral than me......and I have no shortage of personal confidence in that latter category.
Two weekends ago my wife and I were served a 1963 Port by Lou and his lovely wife, with another couple in attendance.
As Lou poured the decanted 49 year old product, I offered that John F. Kennedy was most likely President as the bottle we were about to drink was corked. I also had some note that we only had "advisors" in Viet Nam just before that year.
Ironically, I now realize
Tito (don't call me Jermaine)
Francona was a player for The Cleveland Indians in 1963, the same year as the Port we consumed with bleu cheese that evening was corked. Perhaps the best food and drink pairing of my life to this point after caring about such for only the last 20 years, or so, of my near 60 years.
Baseball is just a game.
(though real Baseball Fans do not always agree)

Shapiro and Antonetti likely know jack about "Port," or perhaps know jack about Tito Francona and the connections of their recently caught "out of MLB work" fish.
Rusty says Ocker is on the short bus.
Rusty says Pluto is boring, and lost.
I say I want Shapiro and Antonetti gone.
