Civ, contract wasn’t as important as being eligible for a Golden Buckeye card.
I work with a lady who is a huge wolverine fan. In recent years as I obnoxiously throw in her face how we own them in football, her only retort has been how they’ve beat us in basketball.
I always tell her, I was born in Ohio not Indiana so I don’t care. But bless her heart, in another year or two she won’t even have that.

I did my graduate work at Nazareth College where he also coached civ. It's here in Rochester. Canisius is outside of Buffalo.
Be rooting for him big time to succeed.
civ - as for the contract, Dan Gilbert may be short on common sense, tact and other things, but not on cash. No problems there. He can still be fired and paid off.

I didn't see Kevin Love and an inevitable trade mentioned there in that article?

According to some usually reliable NBA sources that Kevin Love would need another asset added by Cavs to get another team to take his contract.
I am not sure I believe that !
I am hoping that the JR Smith trade would include Hayward and a good draft pick from Boston.

NBA Draft lottery is tonight.
Young Gilbert will be on hand with his bow tie.
How cool would it be to add Zion 1 year after losing LeBron?
Bill Simmons has said he will quit sports forever if the Cavaliers get the 1st pick.
That alone would make life worth it to get it!

Look for Cavs to offer Kevin Love for that #4 pick of the Lakers and a package of salaries. Could also have JR Smith in some kind of trade with Lakers or even Grizzlies. Could combine #5 and JR Smith for #2 ! Maybe !

Rusty & TFIR:
If we stay at 5 who you looking at taking?
I guess we know the top 3 so maybe a couple guys you like.

People are saying Culver. I always think it is important to draft a future star no matter the need or your current roster. I think Coby White is a future star. I would draft him at 5.

So my personal Cavs expert says Brandon Clarke; I don't any of these guys; how do you experts judge Clarke?

I’m no college b-ball expert, Civ. But the mock draft at ESPN has Clarke going 11th.
Everyone seems to think Williamson, Morant and Barrett are going the top 3.
Then the next 5 guys or so are kinda jumbled depending on who you read.
Hunter, Garland, Culver, White and Reddish.
Like Rusty, White intrigues me. He is a good ball handler but I think can play SG next to Sexton. He can create his own shot. I like Culver for the same reason. Hunter would fit a need. But again, I just go by what I read on these guys.
