With Logan Allen coming back today, Gillespie probably departs, but he looked OK and could return again the next time the bullpen needs a fresh arm

Allen could not have started out worse, two homers to first 2 hitters. Then a sloppy job of filling the bases.
And then 4 shutout innings.
If he can ever figure out how to pitch the first inning he could be a pretty good pitcher

I was wondering why Allen did not come out to start the 6th? He was going strong at that time and Smith could have come in at the first sign of trouble.

Seems are pitching has regressed, or the workload is the culprit. Josh Bell, Guardian killer.
