game 2 white sox lineup has 2 guys with batting averages over 200. Which means they'll probably score this game

as long as don't play the Giants we're pretty good.
Excellent defensive play by Kwan Lavastida to nail a runner at the plate is the key
Even though they held Ramirez to one RBI, the weak Sox lineup and excellent relief pitching won it.
Gose was key.
Then Sandlin, Stephen set up nicely for Clase.
Stephen is turning out to be [one of] the best Rule 5 signing he have made

Kwan is back in business, a single and a walk today, hitting leadoff while Straw gets his first day off.
For the season 9 walks, 3 strikeouts. As long as he doesn't have to play against his hometown team, he's set.

Naylor just singled him in for our 3rd run.
So far so good for Josh; he's 5-13, all singles.

They must feel better about Reyes in the OF, he's in right today and Rosario gets the day sort of off, as the DH. That's two games in the field for Reyes. Did he play outfield as often as once a week last year? Not that I recall.
No just 11 starts in the outfield, and almost all of those were vs NL in pre-universal DH days
i wasn't following but I see he threw a runner out at home! Our OF woes are ended.

Hedges nailed a basestealer today, but I note that runners are 7 for 10 against him; 2 for 5 against Roberto Perez, in about equal number of games.
perez is hitting 189with OPS of 512 which is pretty bad but dwarfes Hedges' 067 232

Hedges just successfully bunted Giminez and Mercado who had singled into scoring position for the top of the order: Kwan then Rosario, who has 1 hit in his last 23 at bats to drop his average to 223. Lots of options at SS if he doesn't hit.

Rosario IF single does not score the run. And Jose Ramirez that bum leaves the runners on.

screwed up play with Stephan and Clement both throwing it away leads to 2 Sox runs and it's now 4-3 mid 7.
