We talked about this very early in the season but Amed Rosario is basically replicating his 2019 and (potentially) adding some on!
Overall this season, the 25-year-old shortstop is slashing .290/.331/.428 with 10 home runs, 49 RBI, 67 runs scored and 12 steals in 120 games.
And since Straw has been added there seems to be a bit of synergy between the 2. Nice leadoff and 2 batter (traditional style really) before Jose Ramirez!
They are so much more interesting to watch these days then they were early in the season.

my friends who watch regularly advise he's a lousy defender.
Everything I read says Arias is the best defender. Giminez is supposed to be better than Rosario
What we know is that Rosario can hit and I'm glad forum recommendations that we trade him were not followed

I enjoyed watching Rosario racing around the bases for his inside the park stand up homer. He couldn't have keep going for a 5th base too.
And Straw races topspeed from first to home on a Rosario single
And Zimmer with a wonderful diving catch and he;s learned how to learn without breaking his wrist.
Speed and defense are very entertaining.

civ - you can't watch more games then I do and Rosario is NOT a lousy defender in my view.
He is average with a very strong arm. Average works with the way he hits.
If Giminez or Arias proves they can hit big league pitching that's different. As we have seen with this team that's far easier said then done.
Until then, to me (and Manning) Rosario is the SS until a better fielder who can actually hit big league pitching happens.

Cleveland activated OF Harold Ramirez from the 10-day injured list.
Ramirez will be active for Cleveland on Wednesday night after missing three weeks due to a right hamstring strain. The 26-year-old outfielder has hit .263/.304/.405 with 26 runs scored, six round-trippers, 31 RBI and three stolen bases across 280 plate appearances this season.

Cleveland activated RHP Triston McKenzie from the 10-day injured list.
McKenzie is slated to return to Cleveland's starting rotation on Thursday against the Royals. The 24-year-old right-hander has been outstanding since mid-July, recording a stellar 3.49 ERA, 0.78 WHIP and 48/8 K/BB ratio across 49 innings (eight starts) since July 9. He should be rostered in all fantasy formats.

That was pretty transparent. Just a way to skip a start and roster a replacement.

that fills the 28 man roster.
To give Oscar Gonzalez a look someone else will have to be removed from the 40 man and active roster. G. Gonzalez is an obvious DFA but he will depart when Roberto Perez returns to the active roster, so someone else would have to depart.

the offense appears to be in a bit of drought. At least they avoided being no hit yet again last night.

At this point I treat these games more like spring training games.
Individual performances (Civale last night, Straw, Amed, Zimmer, Harold, Daniel Johnson, Owen Miller/Clement) are more important now to mold the look for next season with hopefully a full rotation.
With a rotation like we will have next year every game is winnable. It's the model that has been successful.
