Agree on Eddie Rosario and actually if they got someone that level that would be fine with our normal rotation.

Eddie R. did NOT work out but his career profile suggested he would. Stuff happens.

I'm hoping they keep Wilson Ramos so they can have an actual extra hitter on those days he plays.

He can be a backup or split 50/50 - no problem there.

Here's a refresher - it's almost crazy. Strike 2020 like we do for tons of players. 2019 he had almost 500 at bats with excellent numbers.

Career .272 hitter with .433 career slugging. And crazy low strikeout totals.

Indians placed 1B Bobby Bradley on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to August 7, with a left knee strain.

Bradley suffered the injury last Friday and obviously hasn't made enough improvement to avoid a trip to the IL. It's not clear at this point how long he might be on the shelf. Owen Miller will continue to fill in at first base.

Zimmer with a blast that clears the trees in CF! They are saying 471 feet.

Wow, if Straw and Zimmer keep producing like this that's a lot of speed in that lineup.

Gotten to watch a lot of games this past week. Stuck in hospital from emergency surgery.
Few random thoughts. Ramos is a nightmare behind the plate. The attempt to out base stealer Sunday, his arm slot screamed throwing this to right field.
This past week has found more running, taking the extra base, speed in the outfield although Mercado has no clue in left field. Lots of youngsters and yes sometimes it reminds of little league (Hentges slide into home) or the more frequent fielding errors. Watch out Detroit has a clue and when Miggy retires, they can fill those holes a little easier.
Lastly lastly, last night, Sam Hentges didn't destroy our team. They hit, hit and hit some more. Beating Cincy and a pitcher who has been pitching well, and the added punch in their lineup with the dh was fun too watch.
471ft WOW.

Regarding Brian Shaw - seems to me he may be out of gas after all.

Regardless, isn't it time to run all those young relievers (Garza, Francisco Perez etc) out there and kick Shaw to the curb?

As far as the playoffs - season is over. Tito is gone, time for his buddy Shaw to follow.

After watching Amed Rosario launch a double in the first inning I remain amazed at what a totally professional veteran player this guy is - and he's not that old.

(He then drew an errant throw and advanced to 3B)

Oops - then he made a late throw to 2B later on a clear misplay.

It seems that Giminez and Amed for Lindor wasn't so bad after all - taking salary into account it was DAMN good.

But perhaps getting Giminez back to SS and moving Amed to wherever his future is - even utility - might be a good idea.
