Leadoff single in our 8th, as the bottom part of the order continues to perform well at the plate tonight.

Perfect bunt by Marson gives Grady a RISP.

Show up, Grady......

Well, up to Santana as Grady did put the ball in play to the right side. A wild pitch or balk could score the run at least......

After two decades of decline, however, the team left Philadelphia for Kansas City in 1955 and became the Kansas City Athletics. After 13 mostly uneventful seasons in the Midwest, the team moved to Oakland in 1968.

No dice.

It's on our pen, with the exception of our at bat to come in the 9th.

I remember the move well, but somehow thought '67 was their first season in Oakland.

It indeed was 1968. A lot of stuff happened in 1968.

And ironically, I tune into Ray Fosse and Duane Kuiper's brother and realize Kansas City is playing at Oakland tonight.

In years of yore before mlb.tv and regular Tribe viewing I likely would have been at the Oakland Coliseum for a Wednesday night game.

Brantley frozen with a hittable curve for strike 3. He's the only Tribesman without a hit tonight

Oh, yeah.

Surber and I traded '68 recollections and summaries a few years ago. The Tet Offensive, among them.

That's why the December Apollo 8 flight was such a special way to end that year.
