civ - I think you would agree that since Tito wants to keep Hentges stretched out (said in the article i just posted he had been up to 85 pitches) then the more pitches he throws today the more the chance he takes Logan Allen's slot.

Sam continued into the 7th one man safe on Ramirez error then the Twins's 6th homer of the day. So he finishes 3 5 3 2 0 2

I still think he is in play. And it's not like Triston has been lights out.

So IMO Hentges and Quantrill are both in play for rotation slots.

What a difference a day makes.

I was ready to write off the Twinkies after they limped into Cleveland and lost the first 2 games late. Reyes hitting bombs. Walk-off HR by Luplow. Even Bauers got some hits.

I was ready to adopt the " Let's play these guys, everyday" line I had reserved for the Tigers.

Maybe not.

Not with Logan Allen on the mound. Or Happ.

From what I'm hearing #Indians are going to give LHP Sam Hentges 1st chance to fill vacated rotation spot when Logan Allen was sent to alternate training site.

BTW - Brian Shaw ain't going anywhere. He has been NAILS!!

Combined with Karinchak and Clase the back end of this bullpen is totally set. Not perfect, but can't ask for better.

There are older guys that start the season contributing but fade as the season grinds on. Long season.

Shaw may make it, but his best years are behind him.

Reyes off to have a baby. Johnson up to fill in, leading off.

Hernandez left yesterday's game with a mild injury; Chang at 2nd, Bauers at 1st today.

Triston WALKS himself out of this game with a zillion walks and a homer mixed in.

I notice Quantrill is in the game VERY early here - putting him on course for McKenzie's slot in the rotation. Hopefully.

Then again Quantrill only went 33 pitches.
