I wasn't watching but I read one story say Naquin should easily have caught the hit to RF that drove in the only Cards's run

I was watching that play, and I think it was a judgment call if he dove for that and it got passed him and I think the batter could run all day. I don’t have a problem with the way he played it!

Still on top even with the loss today. 8 games over 500. Twinkies on 5 game losing streak.
Time to beat up the Royals.

Watch out for the White Sox. They have an ace the Twins don't and lots of really good young hitters. Wouldn't be surprised if the Sox add someone today too.

Boy McKenzie looks good. Both his pitching ability and he's just fun to watch with his long body and the way he moves it.

His ERA is barely more than half as high of the Number 2.
Leads in strikeouts by nearly 20
Leads in wins
2nd in the AL in WHIP and batting AVG against.
Bauer has a shot at NL Cy although Darvish probably is top right now.

I can't imagine the number of asterisks after any awards won this year.
Even the World Series Champion will be looked on with skepticism.
If they started a marathon 10 miles from the finish, can you say someone won a marathon?

Lots of contracts include bonuses for winning various awards, teams won't be able to avoid those.
I'm actually surprised the whole season has not been suspended by now. The semi-bubble has worked out pretty well. And can certainly understand why the Cleveland management was really pissed with Clev and Plesac.

Yeah, he's OK. started 2019 as the number 5 starter at Akron. Ended up in Cleveland rotation. Short career record is 11-7 3.25 ERA.
He doesn't have enough innings to qualify for league leaders in ERA, WHIP and Avg against; he probably will not reach the 60 inning minimum; he has 34; and he gets 3 or maybe 45 more starts. It's kind of bizarre that the season is almost over, already.

Plesac stands 2nd to Bieber in ERA. 2nd to Maeda in WHIP

despite his limited workload, he's 5th in AL pitchers' WAR.
