I predict he's gone by 4th of July. OF is not our farm stystem's strength, but AAA offers Carrera who can hit singles, steal bases and play CF; Chad Huffman who is not much different player than Kearns; Nick Weglarz recovering from yet another injury was rehabbing at Akron the last I saw, he's really the only OF anywhere in the system who could be a slugger and he's also a terrible fielder

Carrasco having problems already. Gonna be a long night....on National TV to boot.
Bases loaded no out for A-Rod....
Carrasco is only on 12 pitches though...
A-Rod pops up to very shallow center...and holds Jeter at 3rd....
one out bases loaded....13 pitches...

Fans Cano and gets Swisher to end it. Good job Carlos: known in his minor league career for allowing big innings. He ought to try explaining how he did it to Carmona.

We get a runner to 2nd with 2 out, but that never works. Team Savior Cord Phelps and leaves him there. I am willing to make the Phelps experiment a short one and move on to Kipnis by the 4th of July.

Carrasco trying a similar approach in the 2nd. Starts with a sngle and a walk. Cervelli called out on strikes. Back to the top of the order. Jeter hits into fielder's choice at 3rd. Granderson flies out.
That makes NY 0=5 RISP, they're learning from the pros.
Carlos has thrown 45 pitchers through his 2 scoreless innings, so the bullpen will be busy again today. Let's hope Chad Durbin is ready to hold the fort.

Speaking of the bullpen, Chris Perez has had only one save since May 28, that's 1 save in 15 days! Why is everyone blaming the offense and starting pitchers. The numbers prove that CPerez is the cause of this ongoing slump.

Asdrubal Cabrera RBI single to LF scores Brantley, who tripled, and the Tribe has their first lead in series...1-0

Indians still up, 1-0, bottom of 8th. Watching Vinnie Pestano sprint in from the bullpen reminds me of how they used to have cars and golf carts to bring in the relief pitchers!
