Disaster averted. But catching the Twins is going to very tough.

TFIR mentioned earlier in General Discussion we gave up Castro for Leonys Martin. Just to be clear, the Castro we gave up was Willi Castro, a fave of mine before we dealt him who is doing very well in AAA Toledo this year. Not the Harold Castro who is playing 2nd base for Tigers now, and is having a darn fine year too.

Unfortunately Plutko is simply not a very good pitcher. 2 homers allowed today one at least to a guy with little power, In his career an amazing 32 homers in 144 innings. Kind of like Tomlin without the redeeming qualities.

As soon as the game started, first inning, I noticed Plutko was leaving his fastball over the middle of the plate. I figured it would be a long day. Now another homer, a real shot to the back of visitor bullpen. That will be it for Plutko.

I tell ya what, for a guy who rarely gets to play, Freeman is having himself a good day on both ends.

Naquin with a great job of hitting. Knocking it the other way down the 3rd base line for a 2 RBI double! Tie game now!

Jose is looking good, last 15 games: 56-12-18-11 3 homers, only 1 walk but he's hitting: 345/355/759. Looks like the old days.

Plesac walks the first batter, then picks him off 1st base again!!!

For the year, counting minors and majors, he has 9 picks offs!!

Just finished watching Salazar's first inning. Gave up 2 singles and a walk but stranded bases loaded.

Topped out at 92 so far.
