Little late. But Tuesday nights game was great. 1-0. Hey even the lady friend was quite often on the edge of her seat. Great seats. 4 rows back in the upper boxes just to the right of the catcher. She was amazed how well she could see the pitches. The last pitch that Cuddyer took for strike 3, Blue was calling that corner all night. Go Tribe. Got more tickets to go see my team.

The ride home was eventful, as the rapid was stuck at E 79th street for 20 minutes or so, b/c one of the doors wouldn't close. Luckily, the A/C was working fine, and I had interesting people to talk to. Once the doors were all closed, we proceeded smoothly the rest of the way.

In San Francisco that's been a mini controversy on the MUNI trains. A couple of train operators in recent weeks have gone in rapid (Robert) motion with passenger car doors open.

I didn't realize that first pitch of yesterday's game was 9AM my time. By the time I checked the start time a few minutes before noon I was shocked to see a final score for us up.

Travis Buck and his wife were involved in a minor car accident Friday as passengers in a New York cab.
Both were sent to the hospital upon their arrival to Yankee Stadium. Indians manager Manny Acta said that Buck may have suffered whiplash, but that their injuries weren't considered serious. We'll pass along an update as soon as it is made available by the team.

Another stinker by Carmona. Pulled after 4 innings allowing 6. Easily could be a 20-game closer. Kind of unusual when your most talented starter is also your worst starter.

Zach McAllister and perhaps even more so Jeanmar Gomez are worthy of major league starting opportunities. Does Fausto have any options left? They could ship him back to the Gulf Coast League again to screw his head back on again.

We have to start hitting soon.

For those not watching, after Carmona plunked Texeria, the benches and bullpens cleared and Girardi and Acta wenr jaw to jaw, toe to toe. I saw Acta lip a real expletive at Girardi as he left. Both managers are obviously frustrated with recent results. Girardi is getting back at Acta by stealing guys a lot with a big lead and with it raining. It puts the players at risk of injury and while it has worked for the Yankees, I dont think it is too bright of Girardi. We will have to see what Acta does if we get a decent lead in a game of the series.

When the Tribe started the series vs the Rays, Joe Madden said that the test of the Tribe as a contender would come when they had to react to the adversity of a tough stretch.

Well, they are folding like a cheap tent on a calm day on flat ground.

Keeping Carmona in the rotation is highly questionable, as was leaving in the game tonight.

Acta must be anticipating some rough pitching outings by his staff since the relievers had plenty of rest coming into this one.

Many of us didn't think think much of the Tribe starting rotation coming out of ST. They bet on Carmona being an ace, but as he is showing his hand, he was bluffing all along. Big time.

Over his last 6 starts, Carmona has pitched 35 innings and allowed 33 earned runs.

Among AL pitchers with at least 9 starts, Faustos' 5.71 ERA ranks #53, dead last by .67.

Ace my ass.

If he is out of options, the crack medical staff should come up with a phantom injury so he can be sent out for an extended rehab assignment in the minors.
