Glad that Bauer got the victory after the last fiasco where the bullpen blew his lead.

Perez threw out 2 batters including a key guy in the 8th.

And Jake Bauers with the game winning homer!
That's OK< the great thing about DVR is you can fast forward past things you don't want to see, then act as if it never happened...

"Framing, throwing. Understanding hitters. Adjusting game plans. There’s no one I’d rather throw to.”
I thought Perez was weak at framing? Trevor is unlikely to overpraise anyone besides himself so I assume this is accurate.

Only thing I can say about this plate umpire, is his strike zone is anything close to the same.
4-3 Tribe. Going to the 9th. Wittgren got it done striking out the Astro s

Dang, I watched the draft and tuned in just in time to see Hand close it out. I forgot to set the DVR for this one. Guess I’ll have to get highlights online. Two homers for Frankie.

Happy to give credit where credit is due: despite all the home runs, Naquin's rbi double was the game winner and he set the table for Lindor's second blast with his hit in the 9th.

Unlike the team last year with their better lineup, this team does have guys like Cimber and Wittgren now stepping up to assist Hand make a much better bullpen than last year.

It's kind of fun really - this team is a kind of underdog with all their personnel losses. Whereas last year they were so heavily favored they had nothing to gain during the regular season.

Last time I said that the bullpen was a pleasant surprise was the day on which the bullpen, led by Cimber, blew up totally. But I am happy to say so again. Wittgren has been a pleasant surprise. Hand has been precisely what we need at the end.
Hoping Clippard will add some more depth.
Perez and Olson and Ramirez and Anderson have not been good.
But we can count on Danny Salazar joining the bullpen and throwing smoke later this season, right?
More realistically current RubberDuck relievers Nick Sandlin and James Karinchak can move through the two levels and reach Cleveland this season.

I hope this Luplow promotion is very very temporary. Free Mercado!

I know there's a date that effects Major League service time and arbitration clock. Tribe trying to hold Mercado back until then. Might be June 1.

Too bad because Cookie pitched so well.

Obviously in retrospect if we had predicted a split of 4 games in Houston I would have taken it.

If the Blue Jays could call up Vlad Jr. I assume the service time deadline has passed?
Luplow did get a hit and a walk and a steal yesterday. But that doesn't mean I prefer him to Mercado
