Since I am only following this on the computer I cannot verify anything about the defense, but I would have to wonder:

leadoff single to center; then a force play from pitcher to second-- should it have been a DP.
Then a single to right: should someone have reached it.
That was followed by a singled to left, and I can assume Ramirez and Sellers have some defensive mobility.
Anyway it's 8-2 with 1 out and 2 on.

And a force play ends it.

All hands on deck for game number 2.
Allen for the 9th, Shaw for the 8th, Atchison and Rpczynski for the 7th, Lee and Hagadone for the 6th. Crockett for the final out of the 5th. Tomlin as early as needed. Adams with a 8-run lead. Price with a 12-run lead.

House starting out very effectively again today, 3 shutout, 3-hit innings, 36 pitches.

Ricky Nolasco with his Masterson-threatening ERA of 5.74, is doing just about as well. Only 2 hits, no walks, but it's taken him 49 pitches.

Glad the Indians brought up 1b power prospect Jesus Aguillar. He gets to watch Chris Giminez make the start at 1st in game 2. Perez is catching, so Tito had to rest either Gomes or Santana and picked Yan.

He is going with an actual major league OF in the hightcap: Brantley-Bourn-Murphy and the two corner guys each of one our two singles.

This is the point House has been pulled his last two starts, each time he had allowed 1 run; his pitch counts were 85 and then 101. He did not earn a decision in either of those highly effective performances.

Last 3 starts to this point: 21 innings, 2 runs, 16 hits, 0 walks, 20 strikeouts.

What's got into him??
