Somebody named Gonzales singled for us, then got to 3rd, as he stole second and the throw went into center field. Then Somebody Rohlinger hit a sac fly to right to score him. 4-3, end of 6th.
Eric Gonzalez lead the Dominican League in hits this winter with 53. He hit for a .325 batting average. He got rave reviews for his defense (his specialty) from his manager and finished second in voting for Rookie of the Year. For a week before his contract expired, he got to play a few games next to Carlos Santana. I guess Gonzalez could be considered as the Jose Ramirez of 2013-2014 Dominican winter ball season.

Unfortunately, his 3 walks and 47 strikeouts in 45 games, 163 at bats marred a very nice effort this winter.

I'm not sure whether to post the BA prospect highlights here or in Minor Matters. These players' lines are in today's report:

CLE MAJ Gonzalez, Erik SS 2 1 1 0 .500 SB (1)
CLE MAJ Wolters, Tony C 1 1 1 1 1.000
CLE MAJ Bauer, Trevor 1 0 0 0 2 1 0.00 The last chance for the former wunderkind?
[that's their comment not mine; maybe they are not so impressed with his "new delivery" 1st time out]
CLE MAJ Lee, C.C. 1 1 2 2 1 1 18.00

Francona has already pretty much said that Bauer will start in AAA. Has also implied that Carrasco is the guy they are hoping makes the rotation or bullpen. Francona says that Carrasco was tipping his pitches last year with his wind-up.
