Brooms out.

Swept the sad-sack A's

Also swept Bradley and Logan Allen out the door.

Of course we're now due for another losing streak/sweep

but it does seem that there are more than 3 guys on the team who can hit although not many with power

Straw
Kwan although not perhaps to Hall of Fame levels
Ramirez except when
Miller
Naylor
Giminez, very good week doesn't guarantee a very good career I'll acknowledge
Rosario, I think so, although he was in a deep slump before his injury
Palacios, maybe
Reyes, eventually

Although I am a big fan of single and doubles hitters, so I kind of like the way these guys hit, I acknowledge the need for some home runs too.
We all assume Reyes will get started at some point

Good pitching beats good hitters.

Bad pitching makes hitters look good.

With this club, there are days where everybody hits and days where nobody hits. Is it the hitters or the pitching?

Will Bobby Bradley now become the next Jesus Aguilar? Comparisons of their Cleveland experiences:

Aguilar was given 58 total major league at bats, hit no homers, struck out 21 times, walks 4 times. Was set free at age 26
Bradley had 307 major league at bats, hit 17 homers, struck out 128 walked 29.

So Bobby was given a much longer trial period, although still only about 1/2 season worth. Had some more hitting success. Struck out more often.

Now what? We'll see. I am sure someone will give him a look.
Unlike Zimmer, who the BlueJays did not release yesterday, Bradley has only one tool. If nothing else, he should have a future in Korea

I know this is not a forum for politics but I had no idea Paul Dolan's son, Matt, was running in Ohio's Republican senate primary today.

yep. maybe the Guardians recent long-term deals for Ramirez, Straw and Clase will benefit the family candidate.

Logan Allen

Allen was claimed off waivers by the Orioles on Thursday, Ryan Lewis of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

I wish him well. He's only 24 and still has potential

Someone who undoubtledly take a shot at Bradley too.

Rosario and the guy he was traded for both had hot starts and are currently in big slumps. Giminez is the best hitter among the three SSs in that deal at present.

Rosario started out 10 for 28 with 4 RBI and 3 strikeouts, no walks
since then he's gone 8 for 56 with 2 RBI and 12 strikeouts but at least he's walked 6 times

Lindor started this year 13 for 44 with 3 home runs 9 rbi 9 walks 6 strikeouts
since then he's gone 12 for 61 [and more recently 4 for 27] 1 homer 3 walks 15 strikeouts
I am surprised

Giminez hasn't had a before and after yet this season; he's 20 for 60 2 homers 13 rbi 1 walk 14 K OPS is 872 despite the walk total
