Ah, a Steib stub....
Two quick outs by Carrasco.
And then three.
Nice outing in retrospect by Carrasco
Re: GameTime!™
4143Carrasco's job appears to be done. I imagine he will now drop his appeal and serve his suspension?

4144I read that was the plan.TDU wrote:Carrasco's job appears to be done. I imagine he will now drop his appeal and serve his suspension?
Re: GameTime!™
4145I think I caught a headline a bit ago that Carrasco has indeed dropped his appeal.
Re: GameTime!™
4146BOSTON - Carlos Carrasco's decision to appeal his six-game suspension for throwing at the head of Royals designated hitter Billy Butler was only a tactic to get him through his next start Wednesday night against the Red Sox.
"I think he's leaning toward dropping the appeal after he starts," Indians manager Manny Acta said Tuesday. "I think we would lean toward him dropping it, too. We can adjust the rotation because of the day off (Monday)."
Carrasco confirmed that he planned to drop the appeal.
Maybe taking an extra day off between starts could help Carrasco at this stage of the season.
"There are lots of guys who like to stay on that five-day routine," Acta said. "But I think anybody would be helped by being off for six days this late in the year."

4148Yeah I figured as much. Thanks for the info.
I somehow doubt that many pitchers that have been ejected for throwing at a hitter have actually bothered going through with an appeal.

4153Acta looking for all he can get from Carrasco as he starts the 8th and is over 110 pitches
Re: GameTime!™
4154I guess Acta wants to test the limits of Carrasco.
Very surprised to see him come out for the 8th

Just needs 1 more to match Carrasco's game total.
That's as sad as it is funny
