6 thru 9 today were not in the Opening Day box score, and 7-9 were not on the Opening Day roster. Nor was our starting pitcher.

We lead 4-0 in the 5th as A Cab has belted a 3 run homer and Huff is doing his job through 4.


Huff's pitch count is a little higher than I'd like at 58 as the 5th begins. I'd like to see him go deep into the game in this day/night doubleheader.

Huff should be able to go at least 7 as his pitch count was didn't suffer much in the 5th and 6th.

Now at 80 after 6 and we still lead 4-0 as Huff has scattered five hits.

BALTIMORE -- Indians center fielder Grady Sizemore was placed on the 15-day disabled list on Monday, one day after he exited a game against the Orioles with what the team described as a right knee contusion.

Sizemore suffered the same type of injury in May and missed two weeks while on the disabled list for Cleveland. He was injured in the first inning on Sunday.

Sizemore was to travel with the Tribe to Minnesota, where his knee was to be further examined. The Indians recalled left-hander David Huff from Triple-A Columbus.

So the only OF's on the team at this moment are Brantley, Carrera, Buck and Kearns. Pretty impressive.

Huff last pitched into the 7th April 15, 2010. Only time last year. 7 times in 2009.
