Yes on Kipnis.
I would not hesitate to shuffle relievers as performance dictates.
Re: GameTime!™
34076 thru 9 today were not in the Opening Day box score, and 7-9 were not on the Opening Day roster. Nor was our starting pitcher.
We lead 4-0 in the 5th as A Cab has belted a 3 run homer and Huff is doing his job through 4.
Huff's pitch count is a little higher than I'd like at 58 as the 5th begins. I'd like to see him go deep into the game in this day/night doubleheader.

Re: GameTime!™
3408Huff should be able to go at least 7 as his pitch count was didn't suffer much in the 5th and 6th.
Now at 80 after 6 and we still lead 4-0 as Huff has scattered five hits.

Re: GameTime!™
3409I suppose everyone knows but I didn't see it posted:
BALTIMORE -- Indians center fielder Grady Sizemore was placed on the 15-day disabled list on Monday, one day after he exited a game against the Orioles with what the team described as a right knee contusion.
Sizemore suffered the same type of injury in May and missed two weeks while on the disabled list for Cleveland. He was injured in the first inning on Sunday.
Sizemore was to travel with the Tribe to Minnesota, where his knee was to be further examined. The Indians recalled left-hander David Huff from Triple-A Columbus.

Re: GameTime!™
3410So the only OF's on the team at this moment are Brantley, Carrera, Buck and Kearns. Pretty impressive.
Re: GameTime!™
3411Huff last pitched into the 7th April 15, 2010. Only time last year. 7 times in 2009.
Re: GameTime!™
3413In the nightcap the Twins pitcher will be making is Major League debut. Hopefully he's not a diamond in the rough, but his name is Diamond.
Re: GameTime!™
34147 shutout innings for Huff thus far. He's at 88 pitches.
Considering today is a double header I would be shocked if he does not start the 8th.

3415MLB Network has joined the game in progress.

3416Monster outing so far for Huff.

Re: GameTime!™
3417I have The Twins broadcast. Bert Blyleven is mentioning his speech for The Hall of Fame induction this weekend.
Re: GameTime!™
3419Hanahan now at 3rd and Kearns now in right.
Chisenhall and Buck hit the showers.

Re: GameTime!™
3420Well, remember that Huff just pitched last Thursday, so they may be simply being careful.
