My takeaway from this game is that Greg Allen continues to impress.

Far more important than the result of this one. If he continues on this hitting path, his speed and ability to play centerfield would make him quite the valuable piece.

Batting him 2nd would be perfect.

I’ve been a Greg Allen guy since after we drafted him.

You may remember, early on this year he was up but was atrocious. Hit .118 and was sent back down. But since being recalled he’s killed it.

Hit .333 in June. ... .313 in July. ... .343 so far in August.

Also, he has hit .287 against righties. Only .175 against lefties.

With the new acquisitions of right handed OF’ers his bat against righty pitchers is a nice compliment. That and his speed on the bases and in the OF makes him more valuable than Luplow. Gotta keep him up when Luplow returns. And on postseason roster.

I agree and I do remember the earlier part of the year.

He won't be going back down - if anything he's now relegating Mercado to lesser status.

My guess is Luplow comes back in September 1 when rosters expand.

Fairly Close game. Civale is keeping it within reach, but Tanaka isn't cooperating.

Running out of outs.

3-1 bad guys with one out in the bottom of the 6th.

Watching Civale tonight I just can't get over the fact that after Bieber the Tribe system then spit out Plesac and Civale.

Almost clones of each other too.

No wonder they were looking to deal Bauer and Kluber last offseason. At this rate, they could again try to deal Kluber next offseason.

Puig closed the gap with a solo dinger bringing it 3-2.

Too bad Ramirez was left on 2nd.

Now Cimber loads the bases on 9 pitches with no outs.

He hasn't seemed too hot lately.
