Clevinger hit 99 on the gun the 2nd inning. His curve has been 77 to 82, and throwing it for strikes. Absolutely unfair. When he's on he has become a real stud.

When he first come up he threw 95.

I'd like to learn more about what these guys are doing to improve their velocity.

.841 OPS for Roberto. Whaaat??

Look, just for me, at this point it seems clear that the team took a gamble that with full playing time Roberto would improve to the point of being a viable starting catcher. Gamble won.

Watching Naquin come through with a double to tie this game up 3-3. Then, Lindor knocks 2 in to go up 5-3.

If you were watching you know the following about Naquin
1. Great hitter after the 6th inning
2. World's worst bunter - Tito had him bunting but again (this happened a couple days ago) he has no clue how to do it

Worked out great though. Kudos to the bullpen for bailing out Plesac and giving them a shot to win this one. Especially Cole and Clippard.

Like I said, TFIR, with the way Pérez is playing I have to pipe down. If he has a couple bad days I will bash him again just to give him another injection of the KOL, but other than that I will shut up and enjoy being wrong. (although I still have my doubts it will continue)

Well certainly to be honest not one of us expected him to hit this well. I'd be surprised if he continued at this rate but then again it's already surprising after 3+ months.

I will say though I do think he will continue to play well defensively.
