Yes, almost all the time, but once in a while I think I’ve seen him dip even further down, almost sidearm. He might have a pitch, a slider or something, he likes to drop down for. I dunno, I’ll keep my eye more on it. Akron was almost impossible to watch but now that he is with Columbus I’ll watch him more.

Looks like Lynchburg is our team of the second half. If Gonzalez and Jones remain and now joined by Benson and Freeman that's the deepest offense in our system. I'm especially interested to see if Benson regresses vs somewhat more advanced pitchers. If not, he's back on the serious prospect list.

Yeah, Todd was day dreaming about that earlier too.

Lynchburg Hillcats lineup was really struggling to score runs before the All-Star break. Very excited to see what additions of Freeman & Benson do and where they might fir.

Possible top of order:

1) Steven Kwan
2) Tyler Freeman
3) Nolan Jones
4) Will Benson
5) Oscar Gonzalez

Definitely looks fun.

There was a bunch of other transactions today too but nothing earth shattering. Only one that caught my eye was Ben Krauth coming off I.L. But he's struggled this year. Not a Legend any more.

This 17 year old is not playing this summer. Rated among our top 30 after a debut in the DSL last summer

Junior Sanquintin

Scouting grades: Hit: 50 | Power: 50 | Run: 50 | Arm: 55 | Field: 50 | Overall: 40

The Indians rated Sanquintin as one of the five best prospects on the 2018 international market and paid him accordingly, signing him for $1.25 million out of the Dominican Republic. Compared to Cleveland's other top signing from last summer, Venezuelan shortstop Gabriel Rodriguez, he's a little less polished as a hitter but might have a bit more raw power. They could debut alongside each other on the left side of the infield in the Rookie-level Arizona League this summer. [GRod is back in the DSL]

Sanquintin is stronger and more physical than the typical teenaged middle infielder, and he has impressive bat speed from both sides of the plate. He's aggressive and his power plays to all fields, though he may need to temper his approach somewhat to succeed against pro pitching. An average runner, he won't be a huge factor on the bases.

Sanquintin possesses the quickness, hands and arm to play shortstop, though that could change if he loses a step as he matures physically. His bat and defensive tools would profile well at third base, his most likely destination. The Indians also may try him at second base and some scouts project him as a right fielder.
