It was a win in another unwatchable game.

For the 4th time this season the Indians received a bases loaded walk.

Another run on a wild pitch with the bases loaded.

Major League Baseball has to do something about the number of strikeouts. Who wants to watch a game where 27 of the 51 outs were Ks.

I wasn't kidding the other day when I said Naquin was looking better at the plate. He is 3-3 today with a double and stolen base. Hitting 300 now on year.

Crossing my fingers, Clevinger was taken out early for some reason. Still unknown. Hope it's an illness or something minor.

Some kind of back issue

Mike Clevinger was lifted from Sunday's start against the Blue Jays because of upper back tightness.

Clevinger was cruising, having allowed just one hit and one double while punching out 10 batters through his five frames, but unfortunately a balky back ended his day prematurely. It's unclear at this point whether it might cost him a start, but the Indians should have more on his status after the game.

The good news is that the bullpen did a nice job nailing it down - especially Brad Hand of course.

Jose Ramirez is coming around. I can see why the Indians thought Bauers could play LF, he is an excellent athlete with speed.

Mike Clevinger (back) said Sunday that he fully expects to make his next scheduled start.

Clevinger was lifted from Sunday's start against the Blue Jays after five brilliant innings due to tightness in his upper back, but the right-hander said afterwards that the exit was merely a precautionary measure. He has been phenomenal through his first two starts, racking up 22 strikeouts over 12 scoreless innings with a minuscule 0.50 WHIP. He's scheduled to take on the Royals in Kansas City on Saturday.

Tyler Naquin went 3-for-3 with a double, an RBI single and a stolen base in Sunday's win over the Blue Jays.

Nice little afternoon for Naquin, here. He came through with an RBI single off Marcus Stroman in the first inning to help get the Indians off to a 2-0 lead. Over the course of 23 at-bats thus far, the 27-year-old outfielder is slashing .304/.304/.391.

Prior to Sunday's action, he had picked up neither an RBI nor a stolen base. Can check both those off the list now.

To make himself more valuable nice to see Naquin steal a base - hopefully he continues.

Hitting the ball the other way is really helping his game as well.

Early game today and is this the Indians?

Leonys leads the game off with a homer and next inning Brad Miller follows a Naquin (!) double with a bomb!

A Stamets error led to a run off Kluber though - it is 3-1 going to bottom of 2nd.

Kluber's bad 1st inning against Chicago was helped along by an error by Stamets too. He's just a nub out there. A pile of human flesh that has no redeeming qualities as a baseball player. Calling him a JAG, Just A Guy, would be a compliment.

I am no fan of Chang, our SS prospect in AAA, but he should be playing. At least he has some power at the plate.

Hell, we have an old journeyman, Freeman, at AAA too. Either would have to be an improvement.

So Roberto Perez goes deep and now I know it's the Twilight Zone.

Tell you what though, Brad Miller does have a 30 homer season and not all that long ago. We need him now.

Bauers too goes deep. Who needs pitching? And Kluber is having another mediocre outing really.
