At least Kluber was fun to watch today.

This might be a year where you watch the pitching half of inning then go take a pee break and grab a beer.
Or 10 with this offense....

Impressive start to the season of what will probably be lots of 1-0 and 2-1 games. Obviously Berrios is a very good pitcher but we certainly put an incredibly unimpressive lineup out there. I'm going to guess Naquin is getting regular playing time to prove his worth before C.Gonzalez is ready. Not much of a season debut for Tyler

Realistically I agree - Berrios is a top young pitcher in the game. What we do against depth rotation guys will be more important in the early going.

I repeat Berrios is a top notch starting pitcher. Throw that one out, it's one of 162.

I am not arguing we will be offensively challenged (especially in April obviously) but that's an aberration. Good starting pitching still rules the day.

And at this point the Twins' lineup is certainly better than ours. But not the rotation depth.

WEll, not particularly pretty but we will take the win.

Want to point out a small thing....after Moroff botched the popup starting the 9th inning, Buxton was on 2nd base - Buxton is top 3 speed in all of MLB.

Brad Hand TWICE bounced pitches waaaay out of the strike zone, indeed even past the right handed batters' box with the dangerous lefty hitter Rosario up.

I watched this on MLB.TV online, Twins broadcast, and they were in disbelief that Perez made the 2nd play. It saved a run since Buxton would have been on 3rd for the next batter who flew out.

Small thing made a big difference.

And Hanley went 2 for 2 with 2 walks in his other 2 at bats. Well, the Twins sure think he can still hit. He is not that old so I think they nabbed a good one there - and RH no less.

Yes the rest of the offense struggled but it was so frigid there. 34 degrees with a very nasty wind that affected a lot of flyballs, including Moroff's missed one.
