Paul has already begun to recruit LeBron James, and you have to wonder if CP3 will consider playing on a discount so the Rockets can re-sign Clint Capela as well.

Joining that team would be an easy way for LeBron to win another championship.

Paul does not have to play for a discount to resign Capela. The Rockets can sign LeBron and then resign their own players in that order.

Houston has always been the first choice for Lebron as long as the Rockets did not win the championship this year.

More like multiple championships. James Harden is still young. Although it would be quite the challenge for him to adjust to Lebron or vice versa.

I would like to think that at this point in his career LeBron would be satisfied just playing out his career at home in front of his people. I mean, it isn't like jumping on another Frankenstein team to ring chase would change his legacy at this point. Not like Michael had to stoop to that shit for a ring. His detractors will just bring that up any way.

But his interview with ESPN the other day sure sounds like he's setting the stage for another exit. Telling her that he asked Cavs not to trade Kyrie. And earlier this year he wasn't even sure if they'd make playoffs.

This team is so handcuffed by contracts that they are stuck this offseason as far as the changes they would need to make to have any title hopes.

Said it before - Lebron did what he came back to do - I actually feel sorry for him at this point in his career.

If he moves on at this point I will root for him to knock off those Warriors wherever he goes. The Warriors are making the NBA Finals an afterthought.

I share your sentiments on LeBron's future. He's a great athlete and great competitor and seems to be a good human being, too. I wish him well.

I thought the Cavs had been planning last winter to be ready to start their rebuild if necessary after 2018 season if James were to leave. Did all those trades midseason saddle them with more lingering contracts than they'd brought in to the season?

The Cavs were going to be way over the cap no matter what they did.

The Cleveland Cavaliers and that terrible owner have the highest payroll in the NBA. Also pay the highest luxury tax that any team has ever paid.
