I've been on Fosse the whole game. He and Duane Kuiper's brother were just noting that in the 15 years of interleague play the A's have never drawn Milwaukee.
This year the A's get The Giants, The Yankees and The Phillies.
TWC is Time Warner Cable?
Do you have the season package to get those?

Yes to both questions.
Re: Just Baseball: Major League teams OTHER THAN the Tribe
108If I would have guessed I would have thought you didn't buy the package because you can always see The Tribe locally. I guess you like to see the other teams for fantasy and general entertainment.
Re: Just Baseball: Major League teams OTHER THAN the Tribe
109If you've had the A's game on you may have noted the announcers talking about how cold it is tonight at The Coliseum. I think it was mid-80's to 90 in my yard today but the old sea breeze and marine layer kicked in with some wind.
Re: Just Baseball: Major League teams OTHER THAN the Tribe
11026 year old Graham Godfrey was brought up to start for the A's against The Giants tonight. I think it's his 2nd Major League appearance.
Ray Fosse recounted that he asked Graham if he was related to Arthur Godfrey.
Graham responded, "Who is that?"

111I like to follow the Reds and the Red Sox, teams from where I lived for many years. Also nice to be able to watch some of my fantasy league players. I've got Seattle and Philly on now, though.Tribe Fan in SC/Cali wrote:If I would have guessed I would have thought you didn't buy the package because you can always see The Tribe locally. 112Coco Crisp exhibits his sometimes missing baseball sense and timing that always frustrated me when he was with The Tribe.
From first he took off to steal 2nd on a 3-0 count to Matsui. A 3-0 count.
He was nailed and the next pitch Matsui walked.

113I liked The Reds with passion in The Big Red Machine days, but other than that they have been just kind of "there" for me. Not a team I hate, but not one I pay much attention to.
Living here in The Bay Area for ten years now I can see that it would be possible to pay attention to non-Indians teams that were once local for me.
Fortunately in my Miami FL years there was no MLB team in Florida to follow.
In South Carolina I followed the Braves each night and made the all fast interstate 200 mile drive to see them 10-15 times a year, pre-internet.
But.....I lost ALL passion for following The Braves after the 1996 World Series. Though I did and do admire their 14 year Division Championship streak under Bobby Cox.

114I still know many Reds fans, including my former students and colleagues from my most recent job. The Reds have enjoyed some success the last couple years. And the Red Sox have always been interesting, even before they got Manny and became perennial contenders.
Seattle won, now watching the A's getting an insurance run.

115Red Sox were a lot more fun for me pre-our 1999 playoff meltdown.
Yaz, Fisk and Tony Conigliaro rank among my lifetime faves.
And then, The Green Monster. I remember my first time walking towards the field at Fenway Park in probably about 1988 and getting chills as I realized there it is........
I think I attended a Fenway Park game every time I was in Boston on business and they were in town between 1988 and 1999. I was there the night Mike Greenwell hit for the cycle.
I normally stayed at The Marriott in Cambridge on the other side of the Charles River by M.I.T. I always requested an upper floor river side room so I could sleep with the curtain open and be able to see The Citgo sign if I awoke in the night.

116I lost some enthusiasm for them after our meltdown in '07. Sox already had their WS win, that should have been our year. Thanks, CC and Fausto.
And I've mentioned that I go to Fenway every year during my visit to Cape Cod. Splurge for infield roof box seats.

119If it was fake they did a pretty good job and also potentially dangerous.
A bad slice on the ball and one of them could have gotten hurt pretty badly.

120Twins , who I said were out of it, are 14-2 for the month of June.
