Well, as fine a manager as Tito is he can blame himself for the crap show of late.
Chiz in CF is a joke.
Keep trotting Guyer and Almonte out there while Yandy is hitting 400 in Columbus.
Martinez on the roster period is an embarrassment.
And I know the team got hot with Santana at lead off last year but can we put it to bed already?
He just wants to keep trying the same thing over & over when it's not working. I know some guys are slumping right now but there's some things he can be trying that might help till guys heat up.

18992Tigers just scored 3 runs being aggressive on the bases to take a 5-0 lead.

Re: GameTime!™
18993You better head for the campgrounds, Joe. Scoreboard watching in May? You'll be a mess by September.
Re: GameTime!™
18994It all starts at the top and the lineup as it's currently constructed is not working. We can't have a lead off hitter whose sole purpose is to hit homers. All of a sudden, Santana's plate discipline has disappeared and his batting average has dipped to (.209) OPS (.641).
I'd like to give Brantley a shot at leading off and drop Santana into Ramirez's spot behind Encarnacion with Ramirez hitting behind Lindor.
Switch Santana and Encarnacion. Santana DH's. Encarnacion to first base on a regular basis. Perhaps being in the game rather than sitting on the bench can get EE rejuvenated.
Promote Diaz. Drop Guyer. Promote Gonzalez. Drop Martinez.
Almonte can take Guyer's spot on the bench.
Diaz at third. Ramirez in left. Chisenhall in right. Brantley in center.
Just a few ideas to mull over if I were Tito.

Re: GameTime!™
18997Game about to start. (4:15 EDT) And is on Fox Sports 1 today. Swisher doing pregame now.
Re: GameTime!™
18998Announcer said the Royals manager told them he juggled his rotation to make sure we have to face two lefties this series.
And why not. Almonte is hitting like 120 against lefties now. Guyer like 150. Kipnis like 100.
Meanwhile Yandy is batting 400 against lefties in AAA.
We've scored 7 runs last 4 games. But why make any changes. We're doing great.

Re: GameTime!™
19001Thankfully Yost brought right handlers in late. He had 4 lefties in his pen. If he had kept lefties out there we had no shot, IMO.
Re: GameTime!™
19003Well, I've heard it said that you don't know Jack...
But their names are both Jacqueline!
Also, I did it for UD, cause I saw he's back

19004I think he got some advice from Buck Showalter on those moves...Hillbilly wrote:Thankfully Yost brought right handlers in late. He had 4 lefties in his pen. If he had kept lefties out there we had no shot, IMO.
