Tampa trailed the Tigers bottom of the ninth 7-6. Rays loaded the bases with no outs. K-Rod gets a strike out for the first out. Next hitter grounds one to second. The throw was low to second but the runner was out. Iglesias tried to get the ball to first from his stomach to complete the double play. The throw was wide and Cabrera couldn't handle the throw. The tying and the winning runs scored. Rays defeat the Tigers 8-7.

Just what the doctor ordered.

Rookie left-hander Adalberto Mejia (0-1, 4.05 ERA) was slated to face right-hander Trevor Bauer (0-2, 8.44) on Wednesday, but Mejia will be pushed back with right-hander Ervin Santana (3-0, 0.41) remaining on normal rest to start on Thursday in the series finale. The Indians announced Bauer will start on Thursday instead of scheduled starter Corey Kluber.

Bauer's due for a good start. What better time to figure it out than against Santana. I really would like to see Bauer keep his pitch count down though. If he can average 12-15 pitches per inning, I think he would have a good chance of winning.

I like Kluber starting the first game in Chicago followed by Carrasco and Salazar.

A six game winning streak would be nice to close out the road trip.

down 2-1 middle of 6. Bauer is still something of a goof. First run scored on a balk. Then the balked-to-third runner scores on a sac fly. Santana doubled in Almonte who had doubled for our only score. EE has singled and walked twice. 113 pitches by Santana so I doubt he'll be back in the 7th.
