Tony's working his way through a long of list of "prospects". He's beginning to reach the fringe of those who really may be prospects. Here are some excerpts of his comments on 6-7 RHP Micah Minard. [the excerpted content was about 3 times as long and says pretty much the same thing but repeatedly so.]

Miniard was selected by the Indians in the 8th round of the 2014 Draft and signed for $350,000. Miniard features a solid average fastball that sits comfortably at 89-92 MPH and has touched 94 MPH. He does not get a lot of movement with his fastball, but because of his height he does a nice job of getting it on a good downward angle to the plate. His best pitch is an average curveball that has some good depth and 12-6 action to the bottom of the zone and has a chance to be a plus offering for him. His below average changeup is a work in progress He shows some advanced maturity for his age with a lot of intelligence and work ethic to focus in on what he needs to do to get better. [This would not be a Tony analysis if it didn't say this.] He will likely open in extended spring training and then go to short season Single-A Mahoning Valley when their season begins in June, but there is a chance he could go right to Low-A Lake County
