John (Cincinnati, OH)
You a believer in Carrasco going forward?

I had two criticisms of him as a prospect/young major leaguer. One was the lack of a good breaking pitch, which he seems to have solved with a very slight tweak to his slider. The other was his fastball command, which wasn't good and tended to spiral downward too quickly. Pitching exclusively from the stretch so he can better repeat his delivery seems to have solved that. So yes, I am.

Have to find the best right handed hitter that you can get that hopefully can field a position.

On a just throwing something out there thought.

Yankees need a replacement for Jeter. Do you offer them Ramirez if they agree to take Swisher (NY fan fav) also ?

Don't want to give up Ramirez but it would give you a solid amount of money to get that bat.

Maybe the best strategy is to build the strongest possible defense and aim to win 2-1.

I like that with the exception of when Bauer pitches. Probably need to score at least 5 or 6 from the second inning on.

Oh and the fact that you can't win if you don't score any runs.

Need a bat or two in the offense. Maybe one or two of those "professional hitters" they used to get. Is Harold Baynes still around? Or is that what Murphy was supposed to be?
Be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill everyone you meet.

When Francona went to the mound to remove Scott Atchison in the seventh inning and hand the ball to Rzepczynski, he made history. It was Francona's 541st pitching change this season, the most by any AL manager in the last 100 years.

Whose record did he break? His own of course. Last year Francona made 540 pitching changes.
