Was listening on the radio, but XM was once again having trouble keeping the Tommy&Rosie feed. Eventually XM just switched to the Chicago feed, which actually was ok with me because I like Ed Farmer's style.
My wife, on the other hand, chose to watch it on the tube.
Anyway, I was busy with other stuff so didn't check in here. Please forgive me!
Kluber with as solid an effort as any this year, although his strikeout total was down, but I don't care how he gets them out, weak grounder are at least as effective.
Tribe 2-0. Carrasco with 8 2/3 left two on. Allen comes in and gets the final out. Who would think that we would sweep this series after scoring, what 7 runs total.
Just enough offense from Bourn [triple leading off the game, misplayed by Eaton] Brantley rbi single, Roberto Perez two singles, Santana RBI ground out. Kipnis had all sorts of opportunities to add to the scoring and as usual this season didn't come through. 41 RBI in 450 AB, past career 179 in 1290 so he's about 20 RBI off his pace this year.
[I'd like to see a DP combination in Sept of Lindor/Ramirez, with Kipnis backing up at 2nd]
Shouldn't have mentioned it. I see we're losing 6-0 in the 5th. Salazar was OF for four. Then terrible in the 5th: 2 run homer and 3 run homer. All we have to do now is the same thing to Jered Weaver.
Chisenhall singles in another, its 6-3, after 6. But McAllister puts the first two on in the 7th. We have loads of other well rested relievers available to bail him out. [He's only retired 3 of 7 he's faced, one hitter nailed trying to stretch a hit, ending the 6th]
