Pretty hard to say the starting lineup had much to do with the sweep when the other team only scores 6 runs in 3 games.

As to Verlander, be serious, he gave up 2 runs in 8 innings. What is his lifetime ERA ? He pitched a really, really good game.

Justin Verlander took a complete-game loss after giving up two runs in eight innings Thursday against the Indians.
Verlander lost for the first time since April 11, leaving him 5-2 with a 2.15 ERA this season. That supposedly high-powered Detroit offense is averaging 3.5 runs per game in Verlander's 10 starts this season.

It's been a blast watching and following this team lately. Hopefully they can keep the wheels on the cart over the long haul. Arguably they could be doing even better. If Masterson shows consistency, Hernandez gains some of the same, and Tomlin regains last year's form our starting pitching can hold serve. Maybe they even get a surprise appearance from Hernandez at some point.

choo and Kipnis aren't hitting at full strength yet, and Hafner and Santana could still have some upside left. Hannahan will be back at some point, maybe Sizemore comes back and contributes, maybe Damon gets untracked.

Bottom line is we're winning and it appears to me that a lot of our players have more ability than what they're showing so far.

Cabrera and the bullpen are already doing as well as I could ever ask.
